Our full School Shoe Range is NOW In-stock!
Whether you're looking for brown or black we've got it all, even for those that need orthotics.
We stock and retail 'Bata Shoes- the worlds most popular school shoe,' along with our very own product; Australian made 'Bilby.'
Customers ask us "What are the differences between the two products?" Well, Bata is a much broader product, which contains two pairs of (difference size) foot-beds, to help with adjustment of the foots 'height' within the shoe, essentially 'minimising' or 'maximising' the sorrounding girth of the foot.
The 'Bilby' product is of a more 'mainstream' width, but has more depth than the Bata in order to accomidate most orthosis. Made from tougher and more durable materials, the Bilby product truly is a shoe for 'school children.'
The Bata is more of a softer type of leather and lighter sole than the Bilby, even though it's durability is less than that of the Bilby it still outshines most products of similar and greater value. In the end, the difference that matters is the fit, no foot is perfect, we measure and fit your child and select what we advise the appropriate shoe for the foots structure.
Arthritis can be a debilitating disease for the sufferer,
it can make every step a painful experience as some of the joints of the foot can
no longer move as freely as they once did.
The foot has changed shape, making the front of the foot broader and
deeper than it once was whilst the heel and ankle remain as they were.
This makes finding a shoe to fit nearly impossible, if it fits the front
it slips at the back and if it fits at the back the pressure is almost
unbearable at the front and the once dexterous fingers now struggle to
do laces.
That's where your local Pedorthist comes to the rescue, not only
stocking shoes to fit this foot type but also able to manufacture a
shoe to fit your foot, tailor made, combined with the very specialised
pressure relief Orthotics and rocker type soles greatly reducing the
pain in every step.
