Understanding Custom-made
We produce Custom made shoes and Cast Footwear.
Custom-made footwear is completed within 21 days (time periods are subject to variations) providing you are available for fittings. We are recognized by the following health insurance companies; Australian Unity, Medibank Private, N.I.B, A.H.M., H.B.A. and the T.A.C.
You will be required to attend a minimum of at least three visits including the first consultation and assessment. During this first visit we will access your feet, and record information regarding their condition and medical history pertaining to your lower-limbs, that will provide useful information to assist us in making the best footwear for you condition. We take a "Pedograph" and photographs of your feet to use & to keep as visual aids. Measurements of your feet will be taken and recorded. For those more unique feet, a cast will be taken of each foot- all client information is archived and stored safetly.
On the second consultation we will fit the shoes, they will not have a sole, this is done so if any changes need to be made we don't risk damaging the product. If any changes are made after the second consultation, another consultation will be required to check that any changes were correctly carried out- there is no additional costing, unless customer wish to change or add features for cosmetic reasons.
The third visit is usually the fitting of the finished product.
Even though you have received your custom footwear, it is not over.

All of our product's are leather uppers with many different lining and soling materials available to suit your individual needs. "We dont claim to be a cure all and often refer people back to see their local Doctor, Podiatrist or an Osteopath prior to a fitting and sometimes after.

Leather Leg Brace
This custom made brace can be worn by those that need more ankle support.
The amount of support can be altered to suit the clients individual needs, as you can see it fits well into most shoes without effecting the fit

External & Internal Build-ups
A Leg length Discrepancy can be catered for in different ways, this shoe (28cm Build up) has been placed totally external of the shoe, we can place some of it internal as we make the shoe to the clients requirements. Internal build-ups in standard products are limited, compared to external build-ups. Most standard products can achieve a 10mm internal build-up, depending on the product. We can try to achieve both an internal and external build-up, in cases that required more than what the shoe will allow internally.

Assist for Epidermolysis Bullosa sufferers
This boot by style is known as "Assist" this particular one has been modified to suit a Epidermolysis Bullosa sufferers. Made from very soft leather and a full sponge lining. To make these boots we measure the foot with the standard amount of bandage for that child with this style there is room for more bandage when needed.

The Coke-a-Cola can has been used as a scale device, so you can get an idea of just how big this boot really is. This is a fully handmade size 18 EEEE for one foot and a 18 EEEEE for the other, they don't come much bigger.
